The football club is supposed to face off against FC Dnipro next week but has told Uefa that it has no way to get to the match.

FC Copenhagen (FCK) is trying to fight its way into the Champions League playoffs, but security concerns in Ukraine have left the club in limbo.

FCK is supposed to play Ukrainian side FC Dnipro on July 29th in Dnipropetrovsk, a town just some 300 kilometres from where a Malaysian Airlines flight was shot down last week, killing all 298 on board.

FCK has requested that governing body Uefa move the match to a neutral location, saying that it simply cannot make the trip to Ukraine.

“We have provided documentation to Uefa that emphasises that none of the charter companies that operate in Scandinavia will fly us there. Likewise, there are no commercial carriers flying from Scandinavia to that city,” FCK spokesman Daniel Rommedahl told BT. “So regardless of how safe Uefa says it is, it is simply not possible to get down there.”

The Danish Football Association supports FCK’s request to have the match moved.

"We support FC Copenhagen 100 percent in this case and there is no doubt that the DBU is very concerned that UEFA would send a Danish club team to a country, and a region, where very few airlines will even fly to," DBU president Jesper Møller said in a statement on Monday.

VIDEO: Spain’s La Liga reviews video of boy racially abusing Vinicius

Spain's La Liga on Monday said it was reviewing a video of a child making racist insults towards Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior during the 2-2 draw with Valencia at the weekend.

“We’re in the process of studying and analysing the facts from a legal standpoint to see what we can and should do,” La Liga sources said.

In a video published by a journalist for ESPN Brasil, and picked up by Spanish media, a boy sitting in a woman’s lap can be heard calling Vinicius a “monkey”.

The Brazilian scored twice for Madrid as his team recovered from two goals down at Mestalla on Saturday.

Vinicius raised his fist in a “Black Power” salute after the first of his two goals at a ground where he was racially abused last season. Valencia subsequently banned three people from the stadium for life.

The 23-year-old has become a symbol of the fight against discrimination in Spanish football after suffering racist abuse on many occasions, and he was jeered repeatedly by home supporters on Saturday.

Jude Bellingham was sent off after the final whistle against Valencia for protesting after the referee blew the final whistle right before the England midfielder headed home what he thought was the winning goal.
