It is amazing to me, in the USA, how far behind Sweden is in implementing shots. My daughter, who teaches maths in a school in Uppsala, had to take over classes because a teacher left from Covid. The classrooms are not ventilated, and students are getting sick, and now she has Covid, so she is out. There are virtually no teachers to work! They have dismissed the entire 8th grade! What are they thinking, the school administration, the government, no vaccines for teachers. So now, there are no teachers..
Very nice that we can now book a vaccination slot on the alltid öppet app…. would be super awesome if the team owning this app would rethink the UI for this… The app lists the vaccination centres in your area, however when one shows a date of presumed next available time, it’s not the truth… select the centre from the list and you are usually presented with no times available, and the buttons to change dates are greyed out and inoperable.
Toggling back and forth between the page before the list, and the list of centres will generate different results on what centres have alleged times.
One friend told me the best time to try is just after midnight. I wonder why (she says sarcastically).
And whilst I’m into the gripe mode… I want to point out that Stockholm Län stretches much farther north than Kista!!! Why in the heck do I have to travel down the E4 to get vaccinated??

thanks, I called 1177 and was called back. I still do not understand who my doctor is, there is no such thing as a GP, but OK. They told me I cannot book by phone. So I tried in the Region Skåne page and found some centres that should administer the vaccine. Availability zero. But I learned to type my personnumer and get my BankID ready like a Colt in a cowboy duel …
also, I wonder if 1177.se is exactly the same in each Region. Here in Skåne does not seem to have the Mina Sidor you mention, albeit I am so bad at searching that I might miss it big time.
The age requirements aren’t quite accurate in the article. In Stockholm, for example, the cutoff for eligibility is being born in 1971 not being 50 years old. It’s a small distinction but that’s 7 months of people born in 1971 who might miss the chance to book an appointment.
