The club aims to offer people who are not yet fluent in French the chance to enjoy French cinema by screening a mixture of new releases and classic films with English subtitles to help non-native speakers understand what is going on.
After a successful summer that included several free outdoor screenings, the group has now revealed what's on for autumn.
Friday, October 4th
Trois Jours et Une Vie – Lost in Frenchlation’s first thriller of the season, based on the Goncourt-award winning novel by crime author Pierre Lemaître. The film is based on the story of young Antoine whose life is turned upside down over the course of three days and three tragic events.
At Studio 28 Montmatre, starting at 9pm, with optional Montmatre Amelie movie tour beforehand starting at 6pm. Tickets are €9 or €7.50 for students.
Sunday, October 13th
La Vie Scolaire – comedy night and film screening. Set in the tough Saint-Saint-Denis area just outside Paris, the film tells the story of an idealistic young teacher's battle to motivate her pupils and encourage them to strive for a brighter future.
Optional Saint-Germain Women of Paris Tour at 4pm, drinks at 6pm, stand-up comedy show at 6:30pm, screening at 7pm. At Beau Regard cinema in Saint-Germain-des-Pres.
