Couple arrested after refusing to stop sex in train station loo

Federal police patrolling Braunschweig's main train station had to make quite the awkward arrest at the weekend due to some boisterous travellers.

Federal police were called to the men’s bathroom of the train station in the early hours of Saturday after numerous complaints over a copulating couple’s raucous rendezvous.

Apparently the pair were so caught up in a “frenzy of lust” that they had not responded to the requests of fellow restroom visitors and staff for them to quiet down, police said in a report on Sunday.

“It was only through the bold efforts of the state authorities that the vociferous activities could be stopped, after multiple requests,” police wrote in the report.

The woman, 25, was drunk and did not want to identify herself to police, resisting the officers before she was finally taken into custody.

The man, 28, already had a warrant out for his arrest and was supposed to sit in prison for 31 days for another offence, but a relative “at the last minute” paid off a €600 fine for him to avoid the jail time.

The woman is now being investigated for resisting police officers while both now face charges of domestic disturbance and disorderly conduct.
