The Norwegian needs just one more point, or a victory, to win another title. With victory in the next game on Sunday, he would settle the World Championship fight. If it's a draw, there will be a twelth game, where Carlsen will only need a draw in order to secure his victory.

Challenger Anand held a small advantage during many parts of Friday's match, but never managed to exploit the advantage he had playing white.

Carlsen defended well against his Indian rival and a draw was a fitting result for both men.
