Magnus Carlsen and Vishy Anand drew the ninth game of the World Championship in Sochi. The game finished after just little more than an hour.
Norway's Carlsen now leads 5-4, and, even though he didn't manage to exploit his advantage playing with white, he is one step closer to retaining his World Champion title.
Several chess experts considered this game a rather "boring" encounter, and were surprisingly quick to agree a draw was a fitting result for this tame match between the Norwegian and the Indian.
