Dead goat scares recycling depot visitors

Several people received a shock over the weekend when they headed to their local recycling station in Orsa in central Sweden when a goat's head peered at them through a refuse bag.

“The head, skin and hooves have been left in the refuse bag,” said environmental inspector Annika Persson to the local Dalarnas Tidning daily.

The goat carcass, which according to Swedish law should be left at a sterilisation or incinerator plant, shocked a couple of locals dropping by their local recycling station at the Ica supermarket in the Dalarna town.

“I thought at first that it was parts of a human being in that black refuse bag,” said an unnamed man to the newspaper.

The environmental inspector was called in to deal with the goat’s remains and ensure that they were disposed of in the correct manner.
