“The Young Farm Girls Calendar attracts attention for agriculture in a fun way,” Ludwig Raßhofer, the head of the Association of Young Bavarian Farmers, said in a statement.
Working with their counterparts across the border in Austria, the Bavarians came up with a new concept for the 2011 edition of the calendar playing off well-known film classics combined with rural themes.
For example, Miss August is clearly mimicking Ursula Andress’ classic bikini scene in the James Bond movie ‘Dr. No’ and Miss January appears to be reprising Uma Thurman’s role in ‘Pulp Fiction.’

Inspired by a similar rural pinup calendar started in Austria in 2001, the association has expanded beyond using only comely Bavarian lasses for a tribute to pan-German pastoral beauty.
The calendar, however, is not alone in promoting farming scantily clad country girls. A rival group presented its 2011 edition earlier this month.
