After years of rumours about a possible Primark opening in Rome, a large store is now set to open in the city's new Maximo shopping mall.
“Primark will be watiig for you” when the new shopping cenre opens on October 29th, the Irish budget fashion brand announced on Facebook.
This will be the first Primark in Rome, and the third store the company has opened in Italy, with two branches in Milan.
The new 4,500-square.metre Primark store will be one of 170 shops in the three-storey Maximo shopping centre, located south of the city's EUR district.
It will be set on two floors and employ 300 staff, with 10,000 applying so far according to local media reports.
Since launching as Penneys in Dublin in 1969, the Primark chain now has around 350 stores in 13 European countries, as well as outlets in the US.
