The idea is you’re supposed to rub Juliette’s breast for good luck, if you have to do it at all, instead men constantly grope her for photos. Then there is the chewing gum and all the locks. People had started to graffiti on the brickwork rather than the designated area. The whole thing is just tacky, which is a shame because it is a lovely courtyard.
