The 49-year-old had been driving down Oberlaaer Straße on Saturday afternoon when he hit several parked cars as well as colliding with drivers coming from the other direction.
He even hit the exterior wall of a house on the street as well as injuring another 49-year-old man who had to be taken by emergency services to hospital, before finally coming to a stop after hitting a stationary car.
An alcohol test showed the driver had 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his blood. The driver was also injured in the incident and taken to hospital for treatment.
The Vienna transport authorities will be taken further official action against the driver.
