The great Teutonic people used to concern themselves with questions such as ‘should the categorical imperative always be followed?’ or ‘Does history follow dialectic progress?’
But ever since 1998 such abstract ponderings have been put aside, as Germans have been presented with a much more visceral problem – how much is the fish?
But after US talkshow host Jimmy Fallon uploaded a video onto YouTube appealing to the band for more information about the mysterious fish, lead singer H.P. Baxxter revealed that he knew the price all along.
“We bought the fish for the aquarium in our studio, but it was finally too loud. Now it lives in the countryside in an animal residence,” Baxter said in a video posted from a beach in Ibiza.
“We are still in close contact, something like pen friends,” he explains.
“And about the price, it was three-eighty, wicked, thank you.”
He doesn't reveal whether that price was in Deutsche Marks or if he has converted it into Euros and taken inflation into consideration.
But either way, that sounds like a rather good deal for a fish that is still alive 18 years later.
So, with that solved, at last we can get back to tackling the problem of Hegelian sublation.
