The impressively-bearded Hivju, best known for his role as Tormund Giantsbane on the wildly successful ‘Game of Thrones’, will play “a tough henchman” in the film, TheWrap said.
The eighth edition of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise will see Vin Diesel return to star as Dominic Toretto. Other stars confirmed for the film include Charlize Theron, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham. The film will be directed by F. Gary Gray.
According to TheWrap, Theron will play the main villain in the film while Hivju will be her right-hand man.
The 37-year-old Oslo native Hivju will be back on TV screens worldwide later this month when ‘Game of Thrones’ returns for its highly anticipated sixth season. The wildling can be spotted briefly at the 1:16 mark in the season six trailer:
Additionally, Hivju has a starring role in the Norwegian historical film ‘Birkebeinerne’ (Birch Legs).
And if you just can’t get enough of Norway’s most famous red head, he’s also recently made his debut on Instagram:
