Despite the rain and cold, Aarhus’s Pakistani community turned out on Saturday afternoon for a demonstration to show their solidarity and sympathy for the students brutally murdered in the Taliban’s Peshawar school attack on December 16th.
A strong crowd from Aarhus’s Pakistani community – including families, students, and area workers – participated in the show of support.
Participants displayed banners expressing their grief and sympathy over the tragic event.
“Members of our community were badly affected by this horrific and brutal incident and they wanted to condemn the Taliban for their barbaric killing of innocent students,” participant Sher Khan said.
Many on hand at the Aarhus event said that they supported the decision by the Pakistani government to activate the death penalty in order to execute the terrorists responsible for the massacre.
The December 16th attack at a military school in Peshawar left more than 130 children dead.
