Bill Bollinger
In the late 1960s, American artist Bill Bollinger created rugged sculptures by pouring molten iron into casts of dug out sand. After his death in 1988, the works were abandoned in an upstate New York field. A few of those heavy pieces have made their way to Munich. Ponder them at the exhibition opening Thursday night.
