Pitt, Jolie and two of their children arrived at Tempelhof Airport on Tuesday afternoon. The famous family plans to stay for some 90 days in a Wannsee villa, according to reports in the German media, but Babelsberg Film Studio and Universal Pictures haven’t confirmed the information.

There is also speculation that 44-year-old Pitt will use the opportunity to attend the October 1 German premier of the Coen brother’s film “Burn After Reading,” in which he starred.

“Inglorious Basterds” is set to begin filming on October 13 in the German capital, starring Brad Pitt, Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, Til Schweiger and Daniel Brühl.

The supposed script of “Inglorious Basterds” was leaked in mid-August and published on the internet. If the script is genuine, the film will feature Pitt as the leader of a band of American-Jewish soldiers sent behind enemy line during World War II to murder as many Nazis as they can in horrific ways.

Last weekend thousands of Germans lined up at Babelsberg Studios to apply for extra roles in the film. The search for Germans who fit the “Aryan” stereotype for these roles will continue on September 27.
