Unions representing French cabin crew for the Spanish low-cost airline Vueling announced on Sunday that they would maintain their planned strike this week, Air Journal France reported.
The SNPNC-FO and CGT unions have called for cabin crew to walk out between Wednesday, May 8th and Sunday, May 12th.
This year, May 8th and 9th are both public holidays in France, as the Christian holiday of Ascension falls next to the May 8th holiday of VE Day, and travel is predicted to be busy as many plan to take advantage of the rare double holiday for a trip away.
Vueling ticket holders should check with the airline about their flight status before heading to the airport.

The union representing French cabin crew has accused management of “unfair negotiations” as well as an “inhumane pace of work” for staff. They said they maintained the strike notice after management ‘did not offer a date for negotiations’ and sent employees and email with ‘a threatening tone’.
They have also said that the strike notice could be renewed for the latter part of May and June if negotiations fail. Additionally, the SNPNC-FO union has also called for workers with Air Austral, a small airline that operates flights between France and the overseas territory of Réunion, to walk out between May 10-15.
The strike notice came after a planned strike of French air traffic controllers on April 25th was called off at the last moment when an agreement was reached about changes to working conditions – albeit called off too late to avoid wide-scale disruption.
