Trains were halted between Alby and Sätra for several hours due to an elk who strayed into a metro tunnel between the stations.
The Vårberg and Skärholmen metro stations were evacuated and replacement buses were called in.

Wildlife officers were called out at around 11am to try to catch the elk. They slashed the fence designed to keep wild animals out in an effort to lure it out.
But after failing to get hold of the animal, they shot it at around 3pm.
Traffic resumed shortly thereafter but knock-on delays were to be expected.
