A new version of the Paris Metro map makes handy reading for beer enthusiasts.
Its creators have mapped out the price of the cheapest pint of beer (Happy Hours inclusive) that are within ten minutes' walk of each station.
The map, which comes courtesy of the startup MisterGoodBeer, can be seen in full here.
If you're keen to find out exactly which bar offers the cheap beer, click here to read the interactive version – but the full map itself makes for some interesting reading.
Perhaps surprisingly, as the map below shows, beers as cheap as €3 can be found in central Paris. It's not much pricier on the posh river banks, nor on the two islands in the Seine River usually associated with fine (and expensive) dining.
However, if you head out towards the Eiffel Tower in the west then the prices are twice as much as they are in the centre of the city.
In the hip and happening Oberkampf area of town in the east, beers as cheap as €2.50 are on offer.
