An American man has been beaten up in a racist attack while enjoying his honeymoon in Malaga, on Spain’s south coast.

The man was set upon by a group of 15-year-olds who reportedly shouted “chino” (“Chinese” in Spanish) as they hit him.

The man, a student at Johns Hopkins University, lost a tooth in the attack, as well as suffering cranial bruising, a swollen lip and bruising to his left thigh.

The attack took place on June 3rd when the victim was on his way to La Malagueta beach, police sources told Europa Press.

His new wife was unhurt in the attack and alerted local police as well as emergency services, who took her husband to Malaga’s regional hospital.

One of the group of attackers was found by police after they tracked him down via his Instagram account, police sources confirmed.
