Interior Minister Angelino Alfano said on Friday that he has issued a decree for the husband and wife, aged 59 and 50, to be deported back to Morocco, Ansa reported.
They are accused of sharing the extremist ideology of their two sons, one of whom died while fighting for Isis. The other son was arrested in late April as part of a probe into international terrorism.
The couple had been living in Varese, a city in Italy’s northern Lombardy region.
This brings the number of people, believed to be a security risk, deported from Italy to 88 since the start of 2015.
