According to daily Blick, the 36-year-old woman was receiving treatment for depression at a psychiatric hospital last year when she became friendly with the male nurse who was caring for her.
When she was released after several months of treatment, the man asked if he could keep in contact with her, and she agreed.
But she soon realized that he wanted to be more than friends, so after a second meeting she told him she didn’t want to see him anymore, said the paper.
He seemed to leave her alone, until in March this year she received an email from him with a photo showing that he had tattooed a picture of her face on his arm.
“I thought I was in a bad film,” she told Blick, adding that the man didn’t seem to understand why she was upset.
Seeking legal help, the woman wants to force him to have his tattoo removed.
“Someone who wants to tattoo the image of someone else must ask them for permission,” her lawyer Valentin Landmann told Blick, adding that the rule doesn’t apply if the tattoo is of a famous person.
A spokeswoman for the hospital where the man worked confirmed to the paper that he was no longer in their employment.
