Last week Hilton, 34, registered with authorities in the municipality of Feusisberg for her residence in the hamlet of Schindellegi, where she lives in a luxury villa with 39-year-old Austrian entrepreneur Thomas Gross.

In an interview with German-language tabloid Blick, Hilton heaped praise on her adopted homeland.

“I just love everything about this country,” she told the newspaper in an interview published over the weekend.

“The people are so lovely, the food is excellent and the scenery beautiful.”

Hilton began visiting Switzerland regularly as a tourist after sparking a relationship with Gross last May at the Cannes film festival.

But since November 16th, she has been in possession of a long-term D visa, Blick said.

For Hilton, the is the first step toward a Swiss passport, the daily said.

“I want to be Swiss,” she told the paper.

“I work hard, am determined and organized, and have a good heart and positive expectations for life.”

Hilton acknowledged that she hadn’t visited many parts of Switzerland, beyond Schindellegi — where she has posted on social media photos of herself with a cow — Zurich and Gstaad.

But she apparently wants to see more.
