Swedes survive ten metre drop in stolen car

Two suspected thieves in central Sweden have somehow survived after crashing a car off a bridge and onto railway tracks ten metres below.

The two men crashed off a bridge in the town of Vad in Smedjebacken on Thursday afternoon.
 
Both survived the crash and were rrushed to hospital. The extent of their injuries remain unknown. 
 
“The car was stolen and the driver is suspected of drink-driving,” Maria Rupla of the Västmanland police told the TT news agency.
 
“They survived a fall of around ten metres, right through the railway's power lines,” she added. 
 
The driver, a 26-year-old, was already known by police, but officers remain unsure of the identity of his passenger. 
 
Train traffic between Ludvika and Fagersta ground to a halt following the crash, but the power lines were repaired later in the evening.
