What has happened at Umeå University since you studied here? Join a guided tour of the campus and visit your old study areas! Learn about the history of the university and what's going to come. Celebrate the university's 50-year history with us!
Pro-Vice Chancellor Anders Fällström says welcome. We then visit Universum, the Lindell Hall and the new “Vardagsrummet” of the Humanities Building, and more.
Big birthday cake downtown
After the tour there is a bus down to Rådhustorget. Umeå University's official anniversary celebration starts at 11 with a big birthday party on the square and the Vice-Chancellor Lena Gustafsson gives a speech.

11:00 to 12:00 Celebration of Umeå University 50 years with a big birthday cake
Take the opportunity to visit the Arts Campus on your own, which lays beautifully by the river. At 13.00 Bildmuseet has an open display. Smakfestivalen (Umeå Taste Festival) is also taking place downtown so there are plenty of things to do all day. Book your day in Umeå!
