Italian summer camp expels ‘spoilt’ child

The parents of a 12-year-old girl have complained to their local parish in Padua after their daughter was kicked out of a summer camp for being "too spoilt".

The child's parents described the decision to expel their daughter as “regrettable” and have written a letter to the parish counsellor complaining about the harsh treatment she received, PadovaOggi reported.

The girl had  attended the summer camp for the last two years, but allegedly frustrated camp leaders this year with her continuous demands and tantrums.

The camp leaders took the decision to remove the child on the grounds that she was “too spoilt”.

However, she will be allowed back next year provided she has improved her behaviour, the newspaper said.
