Wet and cold weekend in store for Denmark

An Arctic cold front moving in from northeast of Greenland will make its way south over the weekend, dropping snow on the Faroe Islands and putting spring on standby in Denmark. 

 

“In Denmark we can expect a weather shift of the wetter kind. The high-pressure system that has been near the country the past few days will head out toward the southeast and that will make way for areas where rain or showers can move in over the country from the southwest,” DMI’s forecast said. 

 

DMI said the sun would be an infrequent guest on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

“The lawn furniture and spring jacket can therefore look forward to a well-deserved break with periods of rain or showers,” the forecast said. 

 

Daytime temperatures are expected to be between 10-15C over the weekend. 

 

Things look like they will only get worse come Monday, with DMI calling for a low-pressure system to move in from the southwest that could bring significant rain. Daytime temperatures into the start of next week are only expected to be around 10C.
