Swiss school student among plane crash dead

Paul Andrew Bramley, 28, was enrolled in the hospitality and tourism management programme at César Ritz College in Lucerne.

Originally from Hull, England, Bramley was one of at least three British passengers on board the Airbus 320 plane flying from Barcelona to Düsseldorf that crashed into the mountains in Haute-Provence on Tuesday, according to UK officials.

“Paul had just finished his first year at the college and had taken a few days off with friends in Barcelona, before flying back to the UK via Düsseldorf to meet his family,” a spokesman from the British Foreign Office told media.

Bramley was set to start an internship at the Marriott Hotel in Zurich on April 1st.

On his Facebook page he posted a quote from motivational speaker Jordan Belfort: “The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”

Fellow students at César Ritz College said Bramley was popular and well liked.

“We are all shocked an very sad,” Arlette Pfeiffer, director of the college told Blick.ch, the website of the Swiss daily.

“Paul was a humorous, great person,” Pfeiffer said.

“He was always a great student, always polite and helpful towards others.”

Investigators in France had no immediate explanation as to what caused the aircraft to crash.
