The Tuesday searches were targeted towards people close to the two alleged Islamists, mainly members of a mosque in Moabit in central Berlin, according to a statement from the Berlin police.
Those whose homes have been affected by the raids have not been charged, but have been known to be in close contact with Ismet D. And Emin F.
Police said initial assessment of evidence from Friday showed no indication that terror acts were being planned in Germany.
Spiegel reported on Tuesday that the raids are supposed to deliver new evidence on terror activities in Syria, which the Moabit terror cell is supposedly preparing.
The 41-year-old Ismet D, known as the “Emir of Moabit”, is reported to have been gathering logistical support for terror group ISIS in Syria through a Koranic school in his area.
