Known as the world cup for cooks, the event is held every four years and attracts the cream of competitors in a variety of classes.
Both the Swedish national culinary team and the junior national team won gold medals in their competition events. The Fazer culinary team took first place in the large kitchen category, where they had to cook lunch for over 150 people.
On the menu was a main dish of juicy chicken served with Swedish winter vegetables which impressed the judges.
Elsewhere, the Stockholm culinary team and the Swedish junior team won their categories but when the overall winners were announced, they trailed behind Singapore and Switzerland respectively.
"Sweden is back on top. We had all the potential before the competition and good ingredients so we'll have to be happy with first runner up but obviously we were going for the gold," said Peter Jelksäter, coach of the Swedish junior culinary team, which placed second behind Switzerland.
Singapore retained the overall title they won in 2010 and also claimed the gold medal in the cold display and hot cooking categories.
The next culinary world cup will be held in 2018.
