Two Dutch climbers die after Swiss Alps fall

The bodies of two climbers from the Netherlands were discovered over the weekend after they fell while climbing the Combin de Valsorey in the canton of Valais, cantonal police said on Sunday.

The bodies of the two men, aged 38 and 48, were found on Saturday at the bottom of a ridge of the 4,184-metre high mountain in the Valais Alps.

Police said it appears the climbers fell 300 metres while climbing down the mountain on Friday.

The two men were roped up when the accident happened, police said.
