Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the bomb threats that led to two consecutive evacuations at the Lalandia waterpark in Rødby over the weekend.
According to a police press release, the man is from western Lolland.
He is being charged with two counts of delivering a bomb threat to the holiday centre.
On both Friday and Saturday evenings, a note was dropped off at the Lalandia reception claiming that a bomb would detonate in the waterpark. On both occasions, officers with bomb-sniffing dogs were called to the scene and Lalandia guests were forced to evacuate the facilities.
No explosives were found in either instance.
Police did not release any information on what led to the arrest, but they had said over the weekend that the Lalandia reception area was covered by surveillance cameras thus making them “optimistic” that they would find the person behind the threats.
