The Norwegian Coastal Administration downgraded the security level on Tuesday, reported NTB.

The Norwegian Coastal Administration said that the maritime security level would be downgraded to "level 1" on the less exposed port facilities, while other ports would still operate on "level 2".

Meanwhile Norwegian politicians continue to speak out against Norway's handling of the terror attack alert.FrP-politician out against PST:

FrP (The Progress Party) politician Jan Arild Ellingsen, criticized PST. Ellingsen said to newspaper “VG”: “The only victors in this case are the terrorists. The police has contributed to noise and worries in the population. It is like shouting “wolf-wolf”. How many times the population can be alert, has a limit. The next time the population will most likely not take such a warning quite as seriously.”

Ellingsen thinks PST should provide evidence there was an important and authentic reason for going out with this information in the way they did it.

Minister of Justice, Anders Anundsen (FrP), strongly disagrees with his fellow party member’s perspective.

Anundsen says: “I think this is criticism lacking insight. PST, the police and the political leadership had to evaluate the situation they were in, at the actual point of time. According to my opinion, it was obviously important to warn the population.”
