Prosecutor's office spokesperson Nina Bussek confirmed Tuesday that the offce had investigated two complaints, but had decided that the ads did not fall into the category of pornography.
In support of the complaints, the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) retained the services of a Viennese lawyer on behalf of a number of 'concerned parents'.
According to the complaint, the poster by David LaChapelle risks being “a danger to young people, particularly since the poster, particularly near schools, churches and public transport, is available to a wider range of young people.”
The prosecution did not follow this reasoning and terminated the proceedings, according to state broadcaster ORF.
