The week started with the fallout from Eurovision. Austria's entry Conchita Wurst stole the show and the headlines, with Germany's half-hearted entry coming 18th.

On Monday military training exercises began in the skies of northern Germany involving 12 countries and the week has also ended on a aeronautical note with a warm-up for the ILA Berlin Airshow.
