The former security guard used his weapon and a Spanish Legion badge to ‘seize’ the unlicensed street vendor’s beer stash, threatening to arrest him if he ever spotted him again.
But once his victim realized he was in fact not a policeman, he decided to risk getting into real trouble over his unlicensed business rather than let the fake cop get off scot free.
He approached two official National Police officers and reported what had just happened.
They soon found the fake cop sitting in the middle of the street sipping on one of his beers.
Once they had frisked him and found his handgun, the man claimed he was armed in case he spotted the men who had stolen his bicycle.
The fake policeman was arrested and is now awaiting trial.
