Boat shoot-out victim ‘too weak’ for questioning

One woman and two men were detained by the police, after emergency personnel boarded the boat in choppy weather to come to the aid of a man who had been shot in the leg. The local Tønsbergs Blad reported that the trio had been released following Tuesday's shooting. 

Because of the delay in locating and boarding the boat in the Tønsberg Fjord, the shooting victim had lost a lot of blood. He is currently not strong enough to answer question and remains in care. 

"His health has so far made impossible for the police to question him," local police chief Målfrid Høivik told the NTB news agency. 

The victim, who is in his late-thirties, was admitted for treatment at the Ullevål hospital in Oslo after the incident.

Police officers called to the scene initially thought the man had shot himself in the foot by mistake, but after speaking with the other three persons present on the boat they decided to take them in for further questioning. Police added that the trio and the victim were already known to the police.
