The strike has been called from Saturday October 29th to Wednesday November 2nd, falling over the All Saints holiday on Tuesday.
Union leaders claimed in a statement that after eight hours of talks, management had “still not given a satisfying response to our demands.”
Two of the biggest cabin crew unions, SNPNC-FO and Unsa, are protesting against plans to reduce the numbers of stewards and stewardesses across flights, claiming the cuts could risk “the safety of passengers.”
The action will affect Air France flights operating out of the two Paris hubs, Orly and Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle, as well as Marseille.
A strike over the All Saints holiday weekend in 2007 caused massive disruption to thousands of travellers.
The last planned strike to hit the airline was in July but this was called off days before action was due to start.
