The pilot was alone in the aircraft, which was severely damaged in the accident.
It is believed the crash was caused when the nose wheel gave way and the plane’s propeller probably hit the ground, according to Christer Ekeroth at the Air Rescue (Flygräddningen).
A police unit was dispatched to the scene and the Swedish Accident Investigation Board (Statens haverikommission – SHK) has been notified.
According to rescue service SOS Alarm, the aircraft was thought to be leaking fuel into the grass after the crash. Police meanwhile informed that the leak was considered to be more limited.
