Low pressure system “Queen” is set to bring some snow early in the week, the DWD said. Maximum temperatures on Monday will likely range between -5 degrees and zero degrees, but fall as low as -7 degrees in eastern parts of the country.
Only along the Rhine and its tributaries will the temperature crawl just above freezing.

Overnight fog and clouds will give way to clearer skies and largely dry conditions with temperatures falling as low as -15 degrees in the east.
On Tuesday the southwest will see more snow, along with central and western regions of Germany too. Otherwise conditions will remain changeable, particularly in the east and north of the country.
Wednesday will see the heaviest cloud cover, with top temperatures between -6 degrees and -1 degrees.
