The FKK-Saunaclub in Augsburg had appealed against a previous ruling, hoping to get out of policing their own clientele, but on Monday the court decided the ruling was legitimate. Among other reasons given, the court found that unprotected intercourse was a health risk.
This particular Bavarian brothel is no stranger to headlines. Police searched the facilities a few years ago on suspicion of human trafficking, after which police reported that the establishment offered unprotected oral sex on a number of internet websites.
A representative of the management argued in court that effective enforcement of the ruling was almost impossible. The court did not share this view. Nor did the court uphold the brothel’s appeal to have the courtroom closed to the public on the day of the trial.
