Pärson came in second in a time of 1 minute 22.55 seconds, behind reigning World Cup champion 24-year-old American Lindsey Vonn who flew down the 2180m-long Kandahar course under clear, blue skies in a time of 1 minute 22.16 seconds.
Pärson was joined on the podium by fellow Swedish skier Jessica Lindell-Vikarby who came in third in 1 minute 22.88 seconds.
The Super G was postponed to Sunday by heavy fog.
With the World Ski Championships opening in Val d’Isère in France on Tuesday, the Swedish skiers will have every confidence that Vonn’s supremacy can be challenged.
