Beautiful late summer weather is on the way, but won’t arrive until mid-week, meteorologist Helmut Malewski from the German Weather Service (DWD) said on Friday.
Until then low front “Mattea” will keep Germany damp and depressed, particularly in central and southwest of the country where there will be rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures will drop to between a cool 17 and 23 degrees Celsius.
But by Monday the clouds will break, with only scattered showers and a bit of sunshine. Conditions will improve until mid-week when a few precious days of Indian summer will no doubt put a premium on park bench space.
