Public prosecutors in Gothenburg have called for a 19-year-old man to be remanded in custody in connection with the death of his mother earlier this week. The man is suspected of murdering his mother by pushing her from a fifth floor balcony.
The woman’s body was found at around midnight on Tuesday when police arrived in the city’s Kallebäck district to investigate reports of a heated row in an apartment block.
Police said that a number of neighbours had dialed emergency services as the events unfolded.
Gothenburg District Court will decide on Saturday whether the victim’s 19-year-old son should be held in custody.
