Man killed by angle grinder

A 20-year-old Lithuania construction worker died on Saturday after an angle grinder connected with his throat.

The man had been sawing an iron girder high above the ground at the time of the accident.

When the man was found by work colleagues in Holmsjö in southern Sweden he was already dead.

According to police in Blekinge, the man’s colleagues were left in serious shock.

The 20-year-old had been in Holmsjö for three weeks to work on dismantling sections of a sawmill.

Police are investigating whether sufficient safety precautions had been taken on the site.
