Sabuni ‘threats’ lead to raised security

Few of Sabuni’s engagements have been made public in advance since she became a minister last September.

“We can’t disclose the nature of the threat,” Sabuni’s spokeswoman Ann-Marie Åsheden told Aftonbladet, “but we have chosen for reasons of security not to reveal the location of the minister on the website.”

Security police Säpo would not comment on Aftonbladet’s report that death threats had been made against Sabuni, nor would information director Anders Thornberg give details of the measures taken to protect her.

The minister’s diary is now being published on the government’s website.
