Expressen reported deputy chief prosecutor Kerstin Skarp as saying that the emails sent by Mats Lindström would not give rise to a public prosecution.
The Moderate Party’s secretary Sven Otto Littorin spoke to police on Monday.
“According to the police, the prosecutor will not make any decision until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest,” he said.
Reinfeldt reported the emails, which were sent from Social Democrat party headquarters on Sveavägen in Stockholm, saying he wanted to find out whether anyone other that Lindström had been involved.
