“They’re being interrogated right now,” said police spokesman Richard Andersson to news agency TT on Saturday morning.

The two men, both from Stockholm, are 19 and 20 years of age, reported national newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN).

In the raid, police also liberated two teenage girls, 16 and 17 years old, whom they suspect were being held captive against their will for sexual purposes.

“Two young girls have been used in what looks like a prostitution ring. We’re trying to uncover the background story,” said Richard Andersson.

It remains unclear how long the girls had been held captive.

“We don’t know yet,” said Andersson.

The police is unwilling to disclose any more details about the arrest at present, and Andersson wouldn’t describe the place where the girls had been held.

The raid occurred following a tip to the police.
