Learning another language requires a really good sense of humour. You’re going to make mistakes. And that’s okay, it’s how we learn and remember how to phrase something better next time.

Sometimes, though, you’ll make a mistake so hilarious that your Italian friends won’t want you to improve.

It can make you feel like a toddler when people laugh good-naturedly at your sweet innocence. And it can sometimes raise an eyebrow, especially if you inadvertently say a rude word to the in-laws.

In all fairness, there’s only one letter that differentiates between ‘roof’ and ‘boob’ in Italian: tetto / tetta. Easy mistake to make!
