TGV Lyria, a high-speed train operated jointly by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and French National Railway Company (SNCF) is reducing the number of rail links between Switzerland and France.
The decision was made because travelers from nine French regions, including Île-de-France where Paris is located, are subject to a 10-day quarantine upon entering Switzerland.
Services from Geneva’s Cornavin station to Paris’ Gare de Lyon will be reduced from seven to four round trips each day. From Zurich, there will be four trains in both directions instead of five.

However, daily connections between Lausanne and Paris via Dijon remain unchanged with three round trips.
All tickets purchased for the cancelled trains until November 1st can be changed or refunded free of charge.
While some of the services between Switzerland and France are suspended, the SBB announced that night connections linking Switzerland with major destinations in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy will be expanded from six to 10 lines starting in 2021.
